He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Plymouth and a Teaching Fellow of the University of Oxford, Said Business School. His interest is in stakeholder risk analysis and developing appropriate communication strategies.

His interest is in relationship building between organisations and their stakeholders. Charles is a Visiting Professor at Kingston Business School and a Senior Fellow of the National Institute for Career Education and Counselling in the UK.
Formerly Director of the Centre for Corporate Governance and Regulation at Bournemouth University, he is a visiting fellow at Southampton University, and a distinguished fellow of the University of Niagara, USA. He is passionate about corporate governance believing in its applicability to organisations in both the public and private sectors irrespective of size.
Formerly UK Strategy Director for Royal & Sun Alliance. With over 30 years practical experience of the international insurance industry in risk management, underwriting and corporate functions, he now teaches at Cass Business School. He has co-authored eleven books on risk management and insurance including Reputational Risk: A Question of Trust.
